MRP Planning file

The planning file contains a list of all materials relevant to the planning run. The materials are automatically included in MRP planning file when;

- Material master is created with MRP data and a valid MRP type
- Any change relevant to MRP (Master data, MRP elements)

During MRP run system checks for the materials which are having indicator activated in planning file and plans those materials and ignore the materials those are not activated.

Testing of Planning File:

1. Transaction Codes 

     MD20 = Create Planning File

     MD21 = Display Planning File

Now Click on Execute Button (F8)

Now, If we check the Stock/Requirement List by T.code (MD04), the initial stock situation is as follows;

Create new PIR shown as below;

October, 2013          = 200

November, 2013      = 200

December, 2013      =  200

When as we create new PIR, the net change indicator and the net change indicator in planning horizon gets flag which is shown in below figure

If we run MRP, system will consider material 123 in planning run
